Auto-Roller is a German motorhome manufacturer producing integrated and semi-integrated models widely traded across Europe. When you buy an Auto-Roller in Germany, the Netherlands, or France and want to register it in another country, the registration authority will ask for one specific document: the Certificate of Conformity, also known as the EWVTA certificate (European Whole Vehicle Type Approval).
Unlike cars, motorhome COCs contain additional technical data — axle weights, overall dimensions, payload capacity, and CO2 figures — all of which are used not just for registration but also for Low Emission Zone (LEZ) permits and toll classifications in countries like France, Italy, and Germany.
The document issued for your specific VIN includes: the exact vehicle identification number matched to your chassis, manufacturer-declared technical specifications (mass, dimensions, axle weights), CO2 emission levels and fuel consumption data, and all homologation codes confirming EU directive compliance. This is not a generic document — it is specific to your motorhome's VIN and production year.
Auto-Roller COCs are only retrievable for vehicles originally manufactured and homologated for the European Economic Area. If your motorhome was manufactured for a non-EEA market or predates EU type-approval regulations, the document may not exist in the manufacturer's system. In that case, we cancel your order and issue a full refund automatically.
Enter your 17-character VIN (found on the chassis plate, usually near the driver's seat base or on the B-pillar), select Original or PDF only, and complete checkout. Processing takes 18 business days. PDF arrives by email first, original follows by post via FedEx or UPS with tracking.
What is the difference between a COC and an EWVTA certificate for a motorhome? They are the same document referred to by different names. COC (Certificate of Conformity) is the general term; EWVTA (European Whole Vehicle Type Approval) refers specifically to the approval framework that applies to motorhomes and other M1/N1 category vehicles. The document issued for your Auto-Roller satisfies both requirements.
Where is the VIN on an Auto-Roller motorhome? On most Auto-Roller models the VIN plate is located on the chassis near the driver's seat base, on the B-pillar door frame, or on a metal plate visible when the entry door is open. It is always 17 characters and begins with WR (the Auto-Roller manufacturer code).
Does the Auto-Roller COC include CO2 and emissions data for LEZ permits? Yes. The COC includes the manufacturer-declared CO2 figures and Euro emissions standard, which are required for Low Emission Zone permits in France (Crit'Air), Italy (ZTL), and German environmental zones (Umweltplakette).
My Auto-Roller is 15 years old — can I still get a COC? It depends on whether the vehicle was registered under EU type-approval at the time of manufacture. Older models (pre-2004 approximately) may not have a retrievable COC in the manufacturer's database. We check availability before processing — if not available, you receive a full refund.
I need the COC for re-registration, not a new import. Does that change anything? No. The COC is the same document whether you are registering for the first time or re-registering after a change of ownership or country. The registration authority simply needs to verify the vehicle's original type-approval data.
Can I get just the PDF version without the original document? Yes. We offer a PDF-only option at checkout. Some EU countries accept a certified PDF for registration purposes, but others require the physical original. Check with your local registration authority before selecting PDF only.
Our customer service is at your disposal NON STOP Monday to Sunday.
